Project Detail

Shadow Creek is not a typical hospitality client. The owners have spent years quietly building something special, improving the soil, achieving A-grade status for their shiraz, developing their own wine label, and transforming a hidden property into a luxury retreat. The website needed to carry that story with the same care and intention that went into building the place itself.

The design direction was built around the natural character of the property. Warm tones, considered typography, and a calm visual rhythm that guides visitors through the vineyard's story without rushing them toward a transaction. Every section was designed to feel like a natural extension of the Shadow Creek experience rather than a standard hospitality template.

The PWA was built on the JABA CMS with a fully integrated online shop, allowing visitors to browse and purchase Shadow Creek's small-batch wines directly. Each wine is presented with the same care as the labels themselves, which were designed to reflect the natural beauty of the property. The accommodation booking system gives guests a seamless path from discovering the property to securing their stay, with availability, pricing, and the booking flow all handled within the PWA.

A forward-looking section was also included covering the upcoming cellar door, set among stunning old gums on the property, giving visitors something to look forward to and a reason to return.

To support organic growth after launch, SEO-focused blog content was written and published through the CMS, building the site's visibility across McLaren Vale tourism, wine, and accommodation search terms over time.

Designing 5 user roles into one nationwide arts events platform

Open Studios Australia is a nationwide digital platform designed to connect visitors with artists, studios and creative events across the country. The project reimagines the traditional Open Studios experience with a centralised, mobile-first application where people can discover local creative communities, explore studios, attend activities and workshops, and browse curated catalogues. My role covered concept development, user experience design, Object-Oriented UX (OOUX) structuring and interface prototyping, as well as developing the web app using AI-assisted development, with support from JABA's tech team. The platform was built with a strong focus on user experience and accessibility, so visitors, artists, studio owners and licensees all have tools tailored to their needs.
