Project Detail

Alliance Metal Solutions is an Australian metal engineering, fabrication and finishing company serving clients nationwide. Their website looked the way they wanted, but it had become slow and difficult to update.

The goal was to move the site to a faster, easier-to-manage platform while keeping the look the client already liked. Rather than starting with a blank canvas, the work involved studying every visual detail of the existing site and rebuilding it on the new platform, so the client got better speed and simpler editing without the disruption of a full redesign.

Within that existing visual style, new design elements were added to improve how visitors find information. A two-column Industries Served menu with custom icons makes it quick to see the range of sectors the company works across, and the page cards were redesigned to present services and content more clearly. A blog structure was also set up for project case studies, giving the client an easy way to build organic search presence over time.

The project also included region-specific landing pages targeting local search queries and individual service pages that organise the company's capabilities clearly. Copywriting and digital marketing were delivered alongside the design and build work.

Key Outcomes

01Migrated a WordPress site to a high-performance PWA with no changes to the existing visual design
02Load times improved by over 70%, supporting better search rankings and visitor experience
03Content editing reduced from up to 30 minutes in WordPress to under 2 minutes
04Built region-specific SEO landing pages to target local search queries across key markets
05Designed an Industries Served navigation section to communicate cross-sector expertise
06Created project case study blogs to drive organic search visibility
07Delivered individual service pages for clear, organised capability information

Open Studios Australia is a nationwide digital platform designed to connect visitors with artists, studios and creative events across the country. The project reimagines the traditional Open Studios experience with a centralised, mobile-first application where people can discover local creative communities, explore studios, attend activities and workshops, and browse curated catalogues. My role covered concept development, user experience design, Object-Oriented UX (OOUX) structuring and interface prototyping, as well as developing the web app using AI-assisted development, with support from JABA's tech team. The platform was built with a strong focus on user experience and accessibility, so visitors, artists, studio owners and licensees all have tools tailored to their needs.
